Rose Tinted Glass

The other day I was back in London in the Burlington Gardens area, an area I know very well now having spent much time there the past six months or so. In this area is a wonderful free art gallery, and at the moment they have an oriental themed exhibit. And I particularly liked the coloured glass vases, and their extremely fragile and translucent appearance. See for yourself:

Tunbridge Wells Window Watch

Here is a beautiful new window layout at Hoopers; its a Cath Kidston, English countryside, chintzy theme. With floral prints, lace, baroque decadent mirrors, quilts and patchwork colours. I certainly would not mind this bedroom scene in my own boudoir!

Tunbridge Wells Brights

Windows are bursting with colour for the spring, from brights to nostalgic psycadelic hues of the seventies. Hoopers in Tunbridge Wells is an excellent current example. The large window is divided into sections according to colour, and the hexagonal shapes give a retro touch to the window. I am in love with the blue mulberry bayswater and cream Alexa bag! Another brand working the colour trend in Tunbridge Wells is Burton - again using colour to make divisions.

Here are more windows that caught my eye in London: from hanging tea cups and saucers at Topshop, billard balls as mannequin heads on Carnaby street, a retro timeline at Barbour and crazy hairstyles at Zara, to a scientific experiment gone so wrong its almost right at Diesel.
