Hi, thank you for checking out my blog, on here I post my own photos and write about trends I am observing within VM, also anything that interests me and most recently adding photos of things I buy. I am a recent graduate having studied Fashion Marketing and Communication at Nottingham Trent University and work as a visual merchandising manager...Please if you wish feel free to follow my blog or contact me.
I recently took a trip to beautiful Paris, armed with my camera and ready to be inspired by the city. And of course Paris never fails on that, in just a couple days I accumulated so many photos and ideas to inspire my work, and wish to share it. Some of the trends out there are pretty similar to those we are seeing in London - but there are those unique to Paris. The moodboards below should give you an idea of themes I was spotting out there, and should you go to Paris soon the must sees are: Merci, Printemps, Colette and the Le Marais area.
Art continues to influence fashion shop windows, with props including canvases, picture frames, paint brushes and paint pots. Take Fendi's current window as an example - this trend has also been spotted on the highstreet at Jigsaw, Diesel and Bank. Louis Vuitton on the other hand is bringing the circus trend back, with colourful candy stripe patterns, elephants and swings. See photos below: All own photos
The all new refurbished Sloane Street boutique has now opened it's doors to the public! If you haven't already check it out! The new luxe fittings are worth the see and live up to the standard of the product within.
Last week I paid my first visit to the Emerald Isle, and more specifically Dublin. A lovely city with some unique boutiques and an array of fantastic restaurants! Here's some of what I got up to:
If you have been in London recently you may have noticed the Chanel windows have changed - this time they have a connection to the current ad campaign. This includes a photo-booth, the latest AW collection and quirky poses/props. From marilyn monroe hair, masks, camellias, lace and writing on faces - it has made for a playful window theme with a number of possibilities. See below the Bond Street window along with other vm pics:
To everyone that made the Harrods Project possible I would like to say a big thank you. It was a lot of hard work, but with such a dedicated team it was all possible. To anyone that does not yet know, for three weeks Chanel is taking over the Harrods department store; we now occupy 23 of Harrods windows, the majority being along Brompton road. As well as that we have a beauty and separate accessories and fashion pop-up boutique, and an experience exhibition on the third floor. Chanel is the first brand to do such a project - and the launch yesterday was a great success. Please if you can take the time to check it out, here's a sneak preview:
