Tropical Treats

Yesterday I brought up the trend for tropical birds, but turns out the tropical trend doesn't stop there - other big brazilian motifs of the summer are palm trees and pineapples. See below:

Cupcakes are a new motif I also can't help but notice, with homecooking growing in popularity and spending time with the family, this trend has lead to the cupcake motif trend. Get your slice of the action in the form of a necklace or this adorable jumper from Topshop.

A Taste of Paradise

I have been also spotting tropical birds whilst visiting shops, another bird motif of the moment are tropical birds such as: parrots, toucans and flamingos. See jewellery from Accessorize and pieces from Topshop:

What a Hoot!

Owls are returning as the latest motif trend - set to be big this winter. Get a piece of the trend first with owl earrings and necklaces from Topshop, tops from Urban Outiftters and accessories from Accessorize.

Hoopers Styling

Unfortunately it was a sunny day when I took these pictures yesterday! But if you are in the area I suggest to look at the styling of Hoopers windows, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Incorporating furniture and models giving various lifestyle looks.

Rural Windows

Here are some snaps from Tunbridge Wells taken last week, looking at Cath Kidston, Jigsaw, Crew and one of my favourite gardening boutiques, all which have a floral and country theme.



Here is Cath Kidston using step ladders, crates, (both of which have been display basics for stores for almost the past year) wallpaper (which is seeing a huge increase in popularity - was the most searched item online last month) tea pots/sets, tins, sewing kits - all in-keeping with their homemade theme.

Joules have jumped on the bike bandwagon, using colourful cardboard cut outs of bikes in their window, and are evening giving bikes away in a competiton.



Jigsaw's window has a spring gardening theme, with a bright pink wheelbarrow carting bulbs and daffodils. Again like Cath Kidston using tea pots and cups - though this time with plants sprouting out of them. Its fresh, organic and taps to the consumers likely interest in gardening.

Another crate, this time from Crew Clothing, and its actually been personalised to include the brand's name on it, and has been coloured to make it different to other stores' displays.





Wicker baskets, fresh plants, potatoe sacks and hay give this lovely garden shop a natural, organic feel - they are tapping into current consumers interests and concerns for environmentally friendly products, and the trend for consumers to stay at home and devote to their house and garden.

Farm Frolics

Here are a few images I took of a farm in my area, as I am lookin at the growing rural/farm trend of the moment, I decided to look at authentic farms for inspiration, and to see their true aesthetic.
